Exterior is due to be finished by Friday with maybe a few bits of guttering left to do. Then they will start on the inside.

Thursday 9th August 2018

We have now had the asbestos from the roof removed and it’s been reinforced with timber struts. The new roof is on and the boss says its a “proper job” – Logan approved. 🐾He’s earned his dog biscuit today!

Now the professionals have moved in the building works have taken on a new pace. The first section of asbestos has been removed and today the wooden frame has been put in place and the waterproof membrane has been put on. Thankfully just before the heavy rain started. Today the cladding and roof tiles have been delivered and they will start going on tomorrow. So by the time you all get there tomorrow the first part of the building will be roofed and clad. On Wednesday (1st August 18) the asbestos people are back to take the next lot down. At the rate they are going we will have most of the building re clad by the end of next week. (photos taken before today’s work took place)

“Today’s” progress. Framework removed (builder approved that it was safe to do so). This is so the builder has less to do when they remove the asbestos and so charge us less!! It looks like we had some little visitors staying with us.🐁

Photos of the building work will be added  when possible. What a great start!
